The Federal Reserve Board, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, members of the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC), today released data on small business, small farm, and community development lending during 2021.

The Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council’s member agencies have begun a multi-year review of Uniform Bank Performance Report’s content to ensure it remains current and relevant.

The Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council, on behalf of its members, released an update to the October 2018 Cybersecurity Resource Guide for Financial Institutions. The updated resource guide now includes ransomware-specific resources to address the ongoing threat of ransomware incidents.

The FFIEC released an updated flat file and the 2022 FFIEC Median Family Income Report as the second part of the FFIEC 2022 Census products release. The flat file covers the demographic information from the Redistricting Data release. ACS fields, including tract income categories, are included in this release as well. When a field is normally included in the FFIEC flat file but is not available in the Redistricting Data, the field will be left blank.

Federal bank regulatory agencies today made available the 2022 list of distressed or underserved nonmetropolitan middle-income geographies.

The Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) today announced the availability of data on 2021 mortgage lending transactions reported under the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) by 4,338 U.S. financial institutions. Covered institutions include banks, savings associations, credit unions, and mortgage companies.

The Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) today announced the reappointment of Melanie Hall to the FFIEC’s State Liaison Committee (SLC).

The FFIEC produced an ad-hoc release of the MSA median family income, tract income, income percentage, and income level indicator using the 2016-2020 ACS 5-Year Estimates. Documentation may be found here and the data set may be found here. This release can be combined with the March 30, 2022, release for further analysis until an updated flat file is released later this year. The tentative release schedule can be found here.

Using the Census Redistricting Data released on August 12, 2021, the FFIEC released a limited flat file as the first part of the FFIEC 2022 Census products release. The flat file covers only demographic information, not tract income categories used in CRA or other fields that are derived from the ACS 5-Year Survey (2016-2020). When a field is normally included in the FFIEC flat file but is not available in the Redistricting Data, the field will be left blank. This release includes each census tract’s minority and ethnic population.

The Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council on behalf of its members today issued a statement announcing best practices for requesting examination information from supervised entities, and a common authentication solution for secure access to the FFIEC members’ supervision systems.
