The FFIEC Census Windows Application is a convenient method of accessing and analyzing the FFIEC census data that are used to create the HMDA and CRA Aggregate and Disclosure Reports. Through the application, over 1,000 fields of census data can be combined into printed reports or reports that can be exported in Excel, PDF, and text formats. The FFIEC updates the Windows Application annually to reflect changes to MSA/MD boundaries announced by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and CRA Distressed/Underserved Census Tracts as announced by the Federal banking regulatory agencies.
The Counties Located in Non-Metro Areas Report shows all county codes in non-metro areas by state. For years 2008 through 2017, the listing is included with the Census Windows Application; for years 2003 through 2007, the listing can be produced from the CD-ROM via the Data Order Form. In addition, counties located in non-metropolitan areas for 2003 and forward are identified in Appendix F of "A Guide to HMDA Reporting: Getting It Right!"
Detailed documentation and a Help file with instructions on how to use the application are included. To download the FFIEC Census Windows Application, please use the following links:
