This web site is an example of the FFIEC's continuing effort to reduce paper and use electronic means wherever possible to provide information to the public.

How do I retrieve a census report for an MSA/MD?

Follow the steps listed below for instructions on how to retrieve a report.

1) From the main screen, to retrieve a report for an entire MSA/MD or non-MSA/MD area, select "ALL" from the state list by single clicking on "ALL" (default selection) OR to retrieve a report for a particular state's portion of an MSA/MD or non-MSA/MD area, select the specific state by single clicking on the desired state. Most MSA/MDs and all non-MSA/MDs reside in one state.

2) Single click on the "Retrieve by MSA/MD" button.

3) The MSA/MD and non-MSA/MD areas displayed on the list will be filtered based on the state selection. Therefore, if you selected a specific state, you will only see the MSA/MDs and non-MSA/MD area located in that state. If you selected All for your state selection, you will see all MSA/MDs listed as well as all the non-MSA/MD portions of each state (these are located at the bottom of the list).

Select the specific MSA/MD or non-MSA/MD area by single clicking on the desired MSA/MD or non-MSA/MD area.

4) Click on the "Get Census Demographic" button to be taken to the appropriate report screen.

5) You will be taken into the Report screen with the selected report displayed.

Use the navigation choices on the left-hand side of the screen to move around the site. See Report Screen Navigation Choices for more information about these items.

4) Once you have selected the non-MSA/MD area, you can either single click on the "Get Census Demographic" button to be taken to the appropriate report screen or you can single click on the "Get County List" button to select from a list of counties.

5) At this point, you will be taken into the Report screen to view the report for the non-MSA/MD area you selected or you will have a listing of counties to choose from. If you have a list of counties to choose from, select the county of interest and click on the "Get Census Demographic" button.
