The Private Mortgage Insurance Companies compile data on the disposition of applications for mortgage insurance from eight major private mortgage insurance companies. The companies provide this data on a voluntary basis. The FFIEC uses the data to prepare aggregate tables and disclosure reports in the same format as the HMDA tables.
