SPAM / Phishing ALERT!

During the summer of 2011 fraudulent emails have been sent out under the email address of "Inform@ffiec.gov" or "Office@ffiec.gov". The wording in some of the messages varies, but all are malicious.

The FFIEC has not sent any such emails and is not affiliated with these messages. If you receive a suspicious email you should alert the proper authorities at your company/organization/agency for guidance on how to discard this suspicious email. Under no circumstances should you reply to these messages, open any attachments, or click on any link within these messages.
