Hearings Information: The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System (FRB), the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), and the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) (collectively "the agencies") will hold a series of joint public hearings in four cities to receive public comments as they consider updating their regulations governing procedures for assessing a financial institution's performance under the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA). View the Joint Press Release announcing these hearings. The Hearings Notice provides additional information and includes a list of topics and questions about which the agencies are specifically requesting comment.
Registration: Participants who wish to present testimony or to attend a hearing in person must register five business days in advance of the hearing date at: http://www.regonline.com/cra_hearings.
The automated registration site enables each person to sign up to attend one hearing. However, if you wish to attend more than one, please register for your first choice on line and call or email the designated agency contact identified in the Hearing Notice to register for additional hearings.
The presentation time and the meeting room space are limited, so please register early if you are interested in attending a hearing or presenting testimony. Depending on the number of requests, the agencies may not be able to accommodate all who desire to speak or attend; should this occur a waiting list will be established. By providing an email address, you will enable us to confirm your participation and arrange for your security clearance. When requesting to testify, participants are strongly encouraged to provide the agencies with the topics they plan to address, to describe the organization they represent, and to submit written testimony five business days in advance to the agency coordinating that hearing location: Arlington: FDIC; Atlanta: Office of Thrift Supervision; Chicago: Federal Reserve Board; Los Angeles: Comptroller of the Currency. Commenters are encouraged to submit comments by email or the appropriate agency web site as listed below. This will assist meeting planners in organizing meaningful panels and facilitate diverse presentations.
