The Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) Call Report Agencies (FDIC, FRB, and OCC) are modernizing the Uniform Bank Performance Report (UBPR). The agencies are planning to process and distribute the UBPR using the interagency Central Data Repository (CDR) in March 2010.
The new CDR UBPR will include changes to the distribution channel (how users access a UBPR) and changes to the content of the UBPR.
Benefits of the new system include faster delivery of high quality data, enhanced user functionality, enhanced data delivery methods and improved data transparency.
The Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) Call Report Agencies (FDIC, FRB, and OCC) developed a new secure, shared database for collecting and managing quarterly Call Report data. The Central Data Repository (CDR) was successfully implemented in October 2005.
The October 2005 implementation of the CDR marked a revolution in the way that Call Report data are collected, validated, managed and distributed. Under this new system, institutions file their Call Report data via the Internet using software that contains the FFIEC’s edits for validating Call Report data before submission. Call Report software vendors modified their software to incorporate these edits, including the reportability edits which flag Call Report data that were not reported by a financial institution but should have been.
